July 27th-28th at the Washougal MX Park.
Course Description – Short Track
Each lap will be approximately 0.8 mile with 115ft elevation gain.
All new course for 2024. Dirt, grass, gravel, moto track whoops and berms, and a few tunnels! We’ll also build one or two wooden features. Most likely a step down drop.
We’re extremely excited to showcase this new course. Total dirt crit! Emphasis on group racing and a relatively small footprint to keep the fan interaction high.
Note: New this year, afternoon-evening-night race!
Course Description – XC
Each lap will be approximately a 4.5 mile loop with approximately 800 ft elevation gain.
Total laps vary based on the category you’re racing. Check below under “DETAILED SCHEDULE” to see how many laps you’ll be doing.
Categories
We will be running the OR XC Series categories.
Important Note: All age categories are based on “racing age”, i.e. your age on 12/31/2024.
Relay Race Rules
4 per team.
Note: teams stacked with elite riders subject to a time penalty (as in, I’ll hold you back at the start).

Karob will be blasting music and helping out with announcements. He’ll have access to live timing to call out racers as they come through each lap and will probably assist with the podium presentations.

12:00pm-1:25pm Course Preview OpenRace Plates
All racers will receive a custom race plate. If you forget or lose your race plate, you’ll have to purchase a replacement plate at the registration desk for $5. If you upgrade to another category between Saturday and Sunday or decide to race a second race, you’ll have to get another plate for your new category at registration.
Some Important Safety Notes
1) Helmets are mandatory at all OBRA-sanctioned races. Make sure to bring one and wear it any time you are on your bike.
2) Follow proper race etiquette. Be courteous to other riders on the course, especially when passing/lapping slower riders. Make slower riders aware of your intent to pass in a friendly, non-intimidating manner. Be patient and wait until there is enough room to pass. When passing, leave plenty of room and don’t cut off riders. Be extra careful around junior riders.
3) Race defensively and within your limits. This is not the world championship of short track racing! Prior to your race, pre-ride the course to familiarize yourself with technical sections and hazards along and on the course. If you don’t manage to pre-ride the course, ride a bit more conservatively on the first lap and go harder on the next lap.
4) Dogs ARE allowed at Washougal MX Park. Please keep them on a leash and be sure to clean up after them.
OBRA and the organizers of this race do not provide insurance coverage for injuries that occur at the race. The costs related to those injuries are the responsibility of the individual participants. Helmets must be worn at all times while on a bike. Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry for any reason.
